OLE Consortium

Based in Cambridge, MA USA, Open Learning Exchange (OLE) is a social benefit organization committed to achieving Quality Universal Basic Education by 2015. OLE was founded in 2007 as an innovative approach for accelerating access to Quality Universal Basic Education (QUBE) by developing and supporting a global network of nation-based entrepreneurial centers that systematically introduce effective innovations for learning and openly share them. Today, eight OLE Centers in Asia, Africa, and Latin America committed to ensuring QUBE are providing evidence of the effectiveness of the OLE Model by:

  • Demonstrating local, scalable educational innovations adapted for their country;
  • Documenting the effectiveness of those approaches that work and those that do not;
  • Persuading their governments to scale nationally cost-effective innovations;
  • Sharing their knowledge and educational resources openly and freely.

OLE strengthens the resources available to policymakers, practitioners, and funders in order to motivate investment in innovative educational strategies at local, national, and international levels. OLE assists its Centers in organizing curricula, outreach, and financing, as well as connecting independent educational communities within their country and with international communities.
