Education

The government is implementing a strategic plan for basic education that seeks to “increase the level of the general knowledge and to promote universal primary education, reduce the rate of class repeating and school dropouts”. This strategy will reduce class repeating and the time spent in secondary education will increase.  This is in line with the poverty reduction strategy and conforms with second goal of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
